Coach Steve is the founder and lead mentor for Coachometry. He has been committed to being an integral part of the McLean Virginia Community since he and his family moved there over ten years ago. To this end, Coach Steve tirelessly committed himself to being the head coach for Mclean recreation girls soccer teams, Mclean Little League Softball, and McLean basketball for almost ten years. Additionally, Coach Steve was the troop leader for two Girl Scout troops, the dive representative for Chesterbrook Swim & Tennis Club for two years, and has volunteered to help with countless events and field trips at Chesterbrook Elementary School. Because he has been involved in the lives of many of the children in the Mclean area, he is well-known by parents and players as "Coach Steve."

Coach Steve is currently a mathematics and computer science teacher at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Annandale, Virginia. Additionally, he has over seven years of experience as a math/computer science teacher within Fairfax County, teaching precalculus, Honors Algebra II, IB Computer Science (both HL and SL), Introductory Java, Foundations of Computer Science (Python-Based), IB Applications II, Algebra I, and Probability and Statistics. Coach Steve was also the faculty sponsor for the Cup of Java programming club at South Lakes High School. As a teacher and mentor, Coach Steve's overarching goal is to lead and encourage his students, facilitate intelligent discussions with and among the students, and inspire them to achieve their very best. In addition to his teaching experience, Coach Steve also has over ten years of experience in patent law, both as an attorney and a patent examiner, and is licensed to practice law in both New York and the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

Coach Steve holds a Master's Degree in Education from George Mason University, where he had the opportunity to observe public schools in Cambridge, England. He also earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, with a minor in mathematics, and holds a JD/MBA degree from the College of William & Mary, a Master’s in Law (LL.M.) in intellectual property from George Mason University, a M.S. degree in Computer Science from The George Washington University and a certificate in Application Programming from Northern Virginia Community College.
